Since 2022, Agape Children Foundation has provided education and a home for Orphans.
Our Vision
A Uganda with a healthy and empowered young generation accessing quality and equitable health and care services at the same time, seeing that their rights are respected in Uganda.
Our Mission
To contribute towards raising the level, quality, and equity of health and care services and advocate for the next generation in Uganda through increasing access, advocacy, empowerment, and working with other development actors.
Our Story
Agape was born out of a simple but powerful conviction: every child deserves love, dignity, and an opportunity to thrive regardless of where they are born. Having lost his parents at the age three to HIV/AIDS and raised by his old grandmother in a tent house, our founder Brian deeply knows what an Orphan faces. Hence giving the rise to AGAPE CHILDREN FOUNDATION.
In many rural communities across Uganda, children grow up facing poverty, limited access to education, poor health, and social exclusion. Too often, these challenges deny them their childhood and their future. Witnessing this reality firsthand moved us to act not with charity alone, but with compassion, commitment, and sustainable solutions.
Founded as a community-driven initiative, Agape began by supporting a small number of vulnerable children with access to education, meals, and a safe learning environment. What started as a modest effort has grown into a holistic mission to educate, protect, and empower children and families, particularly in underserved rural areas.
Today, through Agape Educational Center and community outreach programs, we provide quality education, promote child protection, support menstrual hygiene management for schoolgirls, improve nutrition through school feeding and charity gardens, and strengthen household livelihoods. Our work is grounded in Christian values of love and service, while remaining inclusive and respectful of all backgrounds.
At the heart of our story are the children resilient, hopeful, and full of potential. Their transformation fuels our belief that lasting change begins when communities are empowered and children are given the chance to dream.
Our journey continues with the support of dedicated partners, donors, volunteers, and friends who share our vision of a just and compassionate society. Together, we are not just changing lives we are building futures.
What We Do
At Agape Children Foundation (AC-Foundation), we are committed to transforming the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in rural Uganda through holistic care, education, and sustainable community support. Rooted in Christian values and compassion, our work focuses on restoring dignity, nurturing potential, and empowering families and communities to build a better future for their children. Together, our programs reflect AC-Foundation’s commitment to protecting children, strengthening families, and building self-sustaining communities grounded in hope, dignity, and opportunity.
Orphanage Schooling Program
Through our Orphanage Schooling Program, we support orphaned and vulnerable children to access quality education at Agape Educational Center and other partner schools. We provide school placements, scholarships, learning materials, and close academic monitoring to ensure children remain in school, perform well, and progress confidently through their education.
Children’s Home
Our Children’s Home offers a safe, loving, and stable environment for children without parental care. We meet their essential needs—shelter, nutritious food, healthcare, protection, psychosocial support, and moral guidance—while nurturing emotional well-being, discipline, and life values that enable children to grow into responsible and confident individuals.
Charity Garden
The Charity Garden is a key pillar of our sustainability efforts. By growing our own food, we improve nutrition for children in our care, reduce feeding costs, and promote food security. The garden also serves as a learning space where children and community members gain practical knowledge in sustainable agriculture.
Skilling and Livelihoods
We equip youth, caregivers, and community members with practical skills and vocational training to improve employability and household income. Our skilling programs promote self-reliance, reduce poverty, and strengthen community resilience, ensuring long-term impact beyond direct aid.
